Mark is a Chartered Physiotherapist of 20 years’ experience. His full time clinical work is complemented by part-time lecturing at post-graduate level in the areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and acupuncture.

Mark runs ‘Sexton Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic’ in Manor Street, Dublin 7. Mark commenced working here, alongside Dr. Mary Pender, in 2000, following work in hospitals in Australia and Ireland.

His specialist clinical interests include Acupuncture, Manual Therapy, and Exercise and Sports Rehabilitation. Mark’s approach emphasises firstly expert diagnosis, followed by a hands-on approach to manual therapy, acupuncture and exercise therapy plans. Mark is enthusiastic about patient education - how to help recovery and prevent problems.

Part of the enjoyment of working in a busy city centre community is the variety of problems and challenges encountered – people of all ages, activity levels and interests can be helped with a wide range of health challenges. Over the years relationships strengthen with people, families, community and local organisations. When people get to know you, and the work you do, they have a greater idea of when you can help with a problem.

Mark graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1995. In 1998 Mark graduated from the British College of Acupuncture with a Diploma/Licentiate in Acupuncture.
